Like many players right now, Rafael Leao is currently concentrating on playing in the World Cup. But speculation continues about his future.
Leao is out in Qatar with Portugal and that’s where his focus stays right now. However, there is a contract situation at his club AC Milan that will soon need sorting out either way.
He has yet to commit his future to the club despite being in talks for some time now, and he has clubs hovering in the background and showing an interest in signing him, one being Chelsea.
The Blues have been heavily linked in recent months, and Serie A journalist Carlo Garganese has the latest via Give Me Sport this week. He says: “Leão’s contract runs out in 2024. Chelsea, they’re still in touch, they’re one of the main clubs, but they’re not the only club that are interested in him.
“Real Madrid are also interested in him as well.”
This is certainly another transfer saga that Chelsea are expected to stay in until a conclusion is reached either way, and they will certainly try and tempt him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
