Chelsea qualified for next seasons Champions League competition by beating Wolves 2-0 in their final league game of the season last night.
This was enough to see the reported Kai Havertz deal accelerate even more.
A significant update provided by the reliable BILD journalist Christian Falk came right after the Chelsea game last night, and it was more great news for Chelsea fans.
Falk says the deal will now move ‘quickly’ and negotiations are ‘getting hot’ after Chelsea secured their Champions League qualification.
He says that Bayer are not even insisting that Havertz plays for them in the Europa League next month, which is what has been suggested by some.
After qualifying for Champions League: it can now go quickly with the deal of @ChelseaFC and @kaihavertz29. Leverkusen does not insist on participating of @kaihavertz29 in the Euro League. Now the negotations are getting hot

This will likely mean that Chelsea will be able to get straight on to confirming this deal as soon as the distraction of the FA Cup Final is come and gone next weekend.
It’s not a transfer window unless we hear a source claim that a deal is ‘getting hot!’
