Some positive news has emerged on Wednesday afternoon, as Chelsea prepares to face Leeds United in the Premier League tonight.
Ben Chilwell has been missing for the whole season, and his absence has been a big blow to the club.
He has been slowly but surely recovering from his injuries over the last four months, while simultaneously managing to retain a positive attitude after successful surgery.
Chelsea’s left wing-back has been much missed by head coach Thomas Tuchel, but he’ll be back on the pitch for the Blues in no time. According to the most current update on the issue supplied by the boss himself, it seems that this will occur sooner rather than later. This season, on the other hand, will come much too quickly.
Tuchel has claimed that Chilwell has begun working with the Chelsea junior teams and that he will be back in full senior training with the club soon, according to Chelsea’s 5th Stand App, which is noted below by Absolute Chelsea.
Thomas Tuchel:
"We are expecting that [return next season], nothing else. There are no expectations towards this season, we will not rush things. It is too important that the knee gets it’s time to heal. Ben knows it is important that we do not take risks now"

Thomas Tuchel:
"We expect him in shape and to have his best energy for the preparation [for next season] in July and then hopefully he can find his form back, because you never know with a big injury. We are so happy he is back."
