According to Sport Mediaset, Chelsea is close to completing a free transfer deal to bring Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic to the club this summer.
Because Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are both slated to depart the club after the expiration of their contracts on June 30, the Blues are anticipated to improve their central defensive options for the next season.
On the other hand, there are rumours that Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta are interested in exploring their options for leaving the club over the summer, so they could need to add more depth to their wing-back position.
In the middle of this, Sport Mediaset is reporting that Perisic has reached a deal in principle with Chelsea, who are planning to pay him a higher wage than the €4.5 million yearly sums that he is now receiving from Inter.
The contract that Perisic has with the Nerazzurri is set to expire on June 30, and it has been stated that all that is needed to be done to ensure his free transfer to Chelsea is to have a medical check and sign a contract.
