Due to surgery, Chilwell will miss the first few weeks of the new season, but he should be back in a few months.
As Marcos Alonso contemplating leaving Chelsea, the club may need a new left-back this summer. He is in the last year of his contract, and Barcelona is interested in both him and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Ivan Perisic, whose Inter contract ends this summer, has held talks with the Blues.
