The Chelsea goalkeeper saga continues, and it took an even more dramatic turn last night.
Blues boss Frank Lampard dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga for their final league game of the season, a game they had to win or draw to guarantee a Champions League spot for next season.
Lampard opted for veteran backup Willy Caballero, and the choice paid off. They won the game 2-0 and Caballero had a solid performance.
Kepa dropped by Chelsea for critical final PL game vs Wolves. As @dermotmcorrigan reported, Ajax’s Andre Onana high among options to replace Kepa if he goes. Plenty of dialogue between #CFC & Onana reps in recent months. Available for ~€30m @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/xRzsmywh2C

But once again it showed the severe lack of trust that Lampard has with Kepa, and it looks likely he is facing a Stamford Bridge exit.
Chelsea need to find suitors for Kepa though, according to De Telegraaf.
This is because Bayer Leverkusen have just had their first offer rejected for Chelsea goalkeeper target Andre Onana, say the Dutch publication.
Bayer offered 20 million euros for Onana, but Ajax want around 30 million euros. This gives Chelsea some time to sort Kepa’s departure and making their move for Onana, if this is what they wish to do.
