With Kenedy’s return to Chelsea, the situation has now swung both ways. We first learned that he would not be playing in the first team and that his loan had been canceled so that the club could find him a new club.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s press conference today blew that out of the water, with the Chelsea manager describing the Brazilian as a “big opportunity.”
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel confirms: “Kenedy is back [from Flamengo loan]. It's a huge opportunity to make his mark on this team. We can't say that Kenedy is the solution”. 🔵🇧🇷 #CFC

Some fans believe that the left back cover dilemma has been resolved, but we can’t rule out a move for Sergino Dest.
Matt Law appeared on the London is Blue podcast this week, discussing the possibility of the Barcelona player joining Chelsea on loan.
He appears to be a terrific alternative if he is available on loan and the terms are affordable for the rest of the season. He can play on both sides. Tuchel exaggerated Kenedy’s qualifications, yet he pales in comparison.
🗣 @Matt_Law_DT on Sergiño Dest:
“I’m told Barcelona are willing to loan Dest which looks like an interesting possibility because he can cover 2 positions, and he’s only 21. Even when everyone's fit, he could have a role in the squad as someone who can play different positions.” pic.twitter.com/ZAc3UBIpZK
