‘Go all out’: Some Chelsea fans urge Abramovich to sign attacker after report drops

A hoard of Chelsea supporters on social media made their preference very clear about wanting to buy Harry Kane over Romelu Lukaku this summer.

The Daily Mail reported that a club record fee of £105m would be needed if Lukaku was to return to Stamford Bridge.

Blues fans were pretty adamant that they could secure Kane for a similar fee and ordered Roman Abramovich to target the Tottenham Hotspur talisman instead.

Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Tbh I wouldn’t wanna pay that amount for anyone bar kane

Kane should be the only one we should be willing to pay so much for
They’ve got to try and get him and he needs to force his way out of spurs as well

If only we could get Kane

Go all out for Kane, we’d win it all.

Kane must be higher in priority than Lukaku instead. If Kane pushes, we might get him at around 70-80m easy.

Get Kane at any cost
We can’t rely on Lukaku

Chelsea are firmly in the hunt to sign a new centre-forward, with arguably three of the world’s best fixed on their wish list.

Erling Haaland was top priority for a long time and still remains a firm favourite amongst the club’s hierarchy.

However, attentions have turned to other candidates in recent weeks.

Kane sparked a flurry of excitement within the Chelsea contingent following an interview with Sky Sports, where he said: “I want to be winning the biggest prizes as a team and we are not quite doing that.”

Crossing the Blues-Spurs divide would cause shockwaves throughout the footballing community, but it would make sense on several levels.

The England captain deserves silverware, which could easily be achieved in Thomas Tuchel’s team.

In return, they need an efficient goal scorer to take them to that next step. There are not many better in the business than Kane.

One of the few that could match his numbers is Lukaku, who seems to be loving life with Inter Milan right now.

His potential reunion may be even more startling than a Kane transfer to South West London, as was the nature of his departure in 2014.

Not many who sign off from Chelsea log back in, so it would certainly raise a few eyebrows if Lukaku did leave Milan to join his former side.
