Chelsea received an injury boost as duo Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva returned to training for the match up against Southampton in the Premier League.
Center back Thiago Silva was substituted in the first half against Tottenham with a thigh injury and has missed Chelsea’s last three games in all competition, Havertz on the other hand has missed the last four matches with a knock.
With Thiago Absence, Andreas Christensen has had a decent performance in the heart of Thomas Tuchel three man’s defence, giving the Brazilian more time to recuperate and be %100 fit, although he may feature on feature against Atletico in the Champions League.
Tuchel spoke earlier this week on Silva’s injury, he said: “We are aiming for Southampton, we are trying, trying hard. Let’s see if he can make it, we cannot promise.”
